identified victim R.I.P. Nate Tuitasi

HAYWARD, CA -- Hayward police today identified 24-year-old Nathan Tuitasi as the man fatally shot inside a crowded bar early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the Viper Lounge bar at 29308 Mission Blvd. around 1:40 a.m. on reports of a dispute between two groups of people and were notified of the shooting shortly after, police said.
Arriving officers found a large group of people fleeing the bar and inside located Tuitasi suffering from gunshot wounds. The Hayward resident was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley where he died, according to police.

The suspect has been described only as a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s with short dark hair, police said. He was wearing a white T-shirt and was last seen fleeing the bar on foot.
Lt. Chris Orrey, a spokeswoman for the Police Department, said some people were arrested at the bar after shooting, but not for the murder, and they have since been released.
Witnesses told police the victim and the shooter were involved in a dispute between two groups.
The shooting marks the city's fifth homicide this year.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact police at (510) 293-7034.
