Jordan Elected Into Hall of Fame
According to the new Livesteez, Michael Jordan was just accepted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. No surprise to anyone, but it’s definitely worth announcing:
Michael Jordan has been elected into the Basketball Hall Of Fame. The five-time MVP and six-time National Basketball Association champion was told of the news yesterday in Detroit, Michigan just hours before his college alma mater the North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Michigan State University Spartans 89-72. Jordan himself helped the Tar Heels clinch a national championship in 1982….
..John Stockton, David Robinson, coach Jerry Sloan and Rutgers women’s coach C. Vivian Stringer were also elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and will be inducted during the ceremonies in Springfield, Massachusetts from September 10-12.
The former Chicago Bulls star thanked his former North Carolina coach Dean Smith for making him one of the most recognizable and accomplished basketball players of all time stating, “He elevated me to another level.”
Jordan also stated, “I would never have envisioned myself at any point being in any hall of fame.”
