diddy leaves warner

A spokeswoman for Diddy confirms that the hip-hop star has been hashing out a new recording deal, but won't reveal the name of the label.

It's official, P. Diddy will end his exclusive deal with Warner Music Group/Atlantic Records at the end of September. The music mogul confirms his exit from the record label to Billboard. "Now that the term of the Warner deal has ended, I have elected to accept an opportunity to move my recording career and future label venture to another company," Diddy says in a statement.

A spokeswoman for Diddy, in the meantime, says a new deal has been hashing out. However, little is known about the new joint venture as the spokeswoman would not confirm which label Diddy will be partnering with though talks have been brewing that a deal is in place for his next album, "Last Train to Paris", to be released by Interscope Records.

Notwithstanding his exit from Warner Music, the joint venture that Diddy has with the company for the current roster and catalog of his Bad Boy label will remain in place.

P. Diddy signed recording deal with Warner Music Group in 2005. The one album he has released through the label, 2006's "Press Play", has sold 703,000 units to date, according to Nie
2006's "Press Play", has sold 703,000 units to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Francois IV, Duc De La Rouchefoucauld, Le Prince De Marcillac

François VI, duc de La Rochefoucauld, le Prince de Marcilla was a prolific writer. La Rochefoucauld was a 17th Century French author, he was a buncha other things also… but he’s mostly known for his proverbial statements, his maxims. By today’s standards, I guess we’d refer to them as 1-liners, except they were profound and vastly insightful on life and the human condition. Kinda like Twitter, except what he said really mattered and resonates centuries later.
I still don’t really understand Twitter. I will be honest, it’s rather ridiculous. I even tried retiring for bit, but then realized that in my line of work I kinda have to do things like that. Annoying. I hate Tweeting product updates or anything related to The Hundreds, I feel like a smarmy salesman. I hate sharing my personal life online, I’m barely interested in whatever I’m doing at the moment, so I’d be surprised if anyone else cared about it. So if you’re 1 of my 10,000 Followers, I’m sure you’ve gotten used to my bad jokes and occasionally, the poor attempt to be La Rochefoucauldian. I apologize.

Here’re some of La Rochefoucauld’s greatest hits (in my opinion):

“True love is like a ghost: everyone speaks of it, but few have seen it. ”

“Passion often renders the most clever man a fool, and even sometimes renders the most foolish man clever.”

“We should often be ashamed of our very best actions if the world only saw the motives that caused them. ”

“Quarrels would not last long if the fault was only on one side.”

“We promise according to our hopes; we fulfill according to our fears”

“The power that the women we love have over us is greater than that which we have over ourselves.”

“Most people judge men only by success or by fortune.”

“The head cannot play the part of the heart for long.”

“True love can not be found where it does not truly exist, nor can it be hidden where it truly does.”

La Rochefoucauld had many great literary works, but MAXIMES is his most recognized. You can buy it off Amazon HERE.

Diddy with Jimmy

Diddy is reportedly leaving Atlantic Records to join the likes of Eminem, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre and more as an Interscope Records artist for his upcoming Last Train to Paris album.

While details are still emerging, Diddy will reportedly bring his Bad Boy swag to music industry veteran Jimmy Iovine's company.

Word has it that the Bad Boy's head honcho is fleeing the Warner Music Group to set up shop in the house that Jimmy Iovine built. The music mogul currently is hard at work on his Last Train to Paris album. It's uncertain which label would release the album, if Diddy indeed signs with Interscope. Sean "P. Diddy" Combs and Warner Music Group signed a joint venture deal back in 2005, giving the record company a 50% stake in Bad Boy Records. Under the three-year agreement--for which Warner reportedly paid $30 million--the recording giant undertook digital and physical distribution of worldwide Bad Boy releases.

While originally slated to drop this month, Diddy has postponed his Last Train to Paris album until 2010.

"We just vibin' and making music, having a good time," he said in an interview. "The album is gonna be something different for me, and I don't have to support it by myself...The train is coming...It's coming, it's coming. Right now, it's like Jay-Z time and Drake time. Enjoy those guys. But the train is coming. Get your ticket. You don't want to be left out."

Nike and the Doernbecher Childrens Hospital have teamed up for a good cause, and want you to get involved. They are auctioning off a pair of uber exclusive kicks in the name of charity. What we have here are the original Air Yeezy’s that Kanye wore to the last Grammy show. They come with an exclusive wooden box with the graphics created and later etched by Mark Smith himself. While the shoes look a bit beat, the sentiment lies in the fact that these were the debut of the highly anticipated shoe as well as the fact that they were worn during the performance Kanye did in honor of his late mother.
